RAJASTHAN STATE INDUSTRIAL POLICYENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT Considering the need for broad basing entrepreneurship and the growing demand for training in entrepreneurship , an autonomous Entrepreneurship and Management Development Institute has been set up at Jaipur. This Institute will provide a variety of EDP courses directly or through other organisations and its outreach centres. The Institute will be developed as a Centre of Excellence. SUPPORT TO ENTREPRENEURS OF THE WEAKER SECTION Support of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs Encouragement to weaker sections of society has been a vital part of the State Policy. With the objective of facilitating the participation of SC/ST entrepreneurs in the process of industrialisation, the following special facilities will continue to be available to SC/ST entrepreneurs:- Rebate of 50% in the allotment of plots measuring up to 4000 sq. mtrs. in RIICO industrial area. Interest rebate of 2% on term loans up to 5 lakhs advanced by RFC in each case, instead of Rs.2 lacs earlier. An additional interest rebate of 1% in the Tribal Sub-Plan area. Margin money requirement of 5%, instead of 25%. 50% concession in processing fee for loan applications. Out of turn release of power connections. 22.5% reservation under Prime Minister’s Rozgar Yojana. Priority in Entrepreneurship Development Programmes 17. ASSISTANCE TO WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS Given the important role of women in Industry, special measures will be implemented to promote their participation in industrial ventures. The three pronged strategy envisaged will focus on enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of women removing credit related bottlenecks and increasing their employment opportunities. The schemes for special rebate of 10% on industrial lands and an equity type assistance from the Mahila Udhyam Nidhi Scheme would be continued. A shelf of projects relevant for women will be prepared and updated periodically. Flatted factories would be allotted to women entrepreneurs on deferred payment basis provided they have undergone training course. Efforts of NGOs or other organisations to run Day Care Centres for Women will be supported. In the courses of Entrepreneurship and Management Development Institute, 30% seats will be reserved for women. The Cell set up in the Commissionerate of Industries for development of entrepreneurship amongst women shall be further strengthened to monitor the House Hold Industries Scheme for Women. |
