Governing Council Meetings of IGTR

In the Month of October, 2004

The Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner (Small Scale Industries) Mr. Suresh Chandra who is the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Indo German Tool Room (IGTR) Aurangabad, Indore, Central Tool Room, Ludhiana, Central Institute of Hand Tools, Jallandhar, Central Institute of Tool Design, Hyderabad, Tool Room and Training Centre, Guwahati, Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), Mumbai, Electronics Service & Training Centre (ESTC), Ramnagar and Central Tool Room & Training Centre, Kolkata chaired over the Governing Council Meetings in the Month of October, 2004. The following is the brief summary of the performance of Tool Rooms: -




• Central Institute for Tool Design, Hyderabad, has developed 3- D Models for AHWR fueling machine using CAD - S/W for Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai through M/S MTAR Hyderabad.





• Central Institute of Tool Design, Hyderabad has conducted a 5 days In- House Progranne on Pneumatics and Hydraulics for TATA Motors Jamshedpur.





• Indo German Tool Room, Aurangabad, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Small Industries Service Institute on 14th October 2004 for starting CAD/ CAM training center at SISI, Nagpur.





• Indo- German Tool Room, Aurangabad, has concluded various short- term courses in Auto CAD, Unigraphs, Master CAM, Catia etc. in which 49 persons were trained.





• Indo- Danish Tool Room, Jamshedpur has received an order worth Rs. 4.70 lakhs from M/s Nitrile India Ltd. Kolkata for manufacture of Gasket Mould for export.





• Indo- Danish Tool Room Jamshedpur has conducted Vocational Training Programme for 52 students of Birla Institute of Technology, Sindri, for two weeks in Auto CAD/ CAM and 14 students of Institute of Technology, Bilaspur, for 4 weeks in Pro/E.





• Central Tool Room Ludhiana has conducted 5 short-term courses in advance CAD/ CAM, basics of pneumatics, Pro/E, auto - CAD and CNN Turning in which 23 persons was trained.





• Tool Room and Training Centre, Guwahati has conducted a short term training course in Auto- CAD in which 6 persons were trained.





• Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), Mumba undertook 90 job works of 62 Small Scale Industries.





• Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), Mumbai has organized three short-term training programmes in which 65 persons were trained.





• Electronics Service & Training Centre (ESTC), Ramnagar, undertook Job works of 11 Small scale Industries.





• Electronics Service & Training Centre (ESTC), Ramnagar has conducted 5 short-term training courses and trained 44 persons.
