Activity Report of January 2005

1. Central Tool Room, Ludhiana conducted the short term courses like Advanced CAD/CAM, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machining, Auto Cad, Procod/CAM and CNC Turning in which 20 trainees have been trained during the month.





2. Indo-German Tool Room, Indore has conducted the short term courses like Basic Course on Pneumatics, CNC Milling & Turning, Basic Course on Hydraulics, CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Unigraphics & CNC technology in which 197 trainees have been trained during the month.





3. Indo-German Tool Room, Aurangabad has conducted the short term courses like UG (CAD), Pro-E, Integrated course in CAD/CAM, Master CAD, CATIA, Unigraphics (CAD), CNC programming etc. in which 67 trainees have been trained during the month.





4. Indo Danish Tool Room, Jamshedpur has conducted SIDBI sponsored 2 weeks Training Programme on "Basic Application of Computer & Internet" starting from 18.1.2005 for the employees of SSI units of Adityapur Jamshedpur.





5. Central Tool Room & Training Centre, Bhunbaneswar has conducted a 4-week Winter Vacation training programme for engineering students under which 106 trainees from various engineering colleges were trained.





6. 114 job works of 58 small scale industries were undertaken by Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), Mumbai.





7. Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI), Mumbai organized five short term training programmes in which 24 persons were trained.





8. 9 job works of 9 small scale industries were undertaken by Electronics Service Training Centre, (ESTC), Ramnagar Uttaranchal.





9. Electronics Service Training Centre, (ESTC), Ramnagar conducted 9 short term training courses and trained 78 persons.





10. Under ISO 9000 /14001 reimbursement scheme during the month cases of 740 units are under process for reimbursement involving an amount of Rs. 3.76 crores.





11. During the month 5 one day and 1 four days ISO 9000/14001 Awareness / Motivational cum Educational programmes were organized by SISIs.





12. During the month 70 Entrepreneurship Development Programmes, 80 Motivational Campaigns and 35 Management Development Programmes were conducted by the field institutions spread throughout the country in different states and altogether 27875 persons took part in the programmes.





13. SISI Ranchi and Branch SISI Coimbatore conducted one day Awareness cum Educational Workshop on Energy Conservation on 5.1.05 and 11.1.05 for Ceramics industry and Foundry and Steel Re-rolling Mills respectively.





14. A 3- week Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Bakery Products was started by SISI Okhla on 24th January 2005 in which 30 prospective entrepreneurs are participating.
