PROCESS CUM PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (PPDC)
FOR SPORTS GOODS & LEISURE TIME EQUIPMENTS

Process cum product Development Centre for Sports Goods and Leisure Time Equipment, Meerut was conceived in June, 1985 as a UNDP assisted project with the developmental objectives of upliftment of sports goods industries by making available appropriate technology for upgrading the quality of sports goods so as to augment the export of sports goods from India.

Services offered:

- To develop designs of various sports goods including new items of sports goods.

- To develop prototype of the new set of sports goods and other leisure time equipments.

- To develop manpower according to the requirement of the industry.

- To provide technical consultancy and marketing services.

- To generate awareness and quality concsiousness amongst the user industry, the Centre is conducting regular seminars, workshops, orientation programmes and designs meets on various subject related to testing/quality control, technological issues, ISO-9000 and TQM, export procedures and documentation etc.

- Extending common facility services to local sports goods industry for performing their job from its workshops and testing laboratories.

The Centre is having the following workshops and laboratories through which the above mentioned services are being conducted: -

  1. Leather workshop & leather equipment stitching section.
